on my desc

This bear is almost finished, but I am thinking what eyes I should use. I have so many to choose from :)

Kiwiwi lies patiently waiting for his new friend

Finally I decided to use big brown eyes.
He looks a litle bit like Colargol now :)

new antique bear

Pffff, I am struggling to finish this little bear. I saw this antique mohair in Wiebaden, and just had to buy some, it looks so pretty, but it is really hard to work with this sturdy, but also very fragile material, I had a really hard time, turning the limbs took ages, I think it took me3 times longer to finish this bear, and I am almost done now, so I tought I could already share some pictures with you .
I wanted to give this bear really worn out shoe buttons for eyes, but in the end, I did prefer to ad some more color and chose to give him these pretty handmade eyes, light blue and moss green, They fitted him very wel.I hope you like him :)

Still attach one ear, and stuff his belly.

This bear was meant for Valentine day, but I finished him yesterday evening and it was to late to post him on my blog, so here he is, a day later :)

Eyes

Placing eyes, is one of the most difficult tasks in bearmaking in my opinion. Not the actual action of placing them, but choosing would be a better word.
I do this  last  in finishing  my bears.
Today I finished this blue bear and he was especially difficult. I think I TRIED ON EVERY EYE IN MY BOX. So when it is like this, mostly they end up with simple old shoe buttons. That always works :)
